We have tried to answer some of your most common questions below:


Are Collingwood Batchellor’s stores open?

All of our stores will be closed from 5th November until 2nd December in line with current restrictions.

Our website is open and ready for you to place an order.

What steps have been taken to make Collingwood Batchellor Covid secure?

When we reopen the following will be in place:

Masks are now mandatory for customers over 11 years old and staff when in indoor retail settings. (excluding exemptions)

All customers and staff will be asked to maintain social distancing, signage is in place reminding people of the 2m(6ft) distancing rules.

Dispensers of sanitising gel have been fitted at key points in the stores.

Screens have been fitted to till points and desks; and all staff have been issued face masks or visors.

Touch points are being systematically cleaned.

Upholstery, beds and samples are being regularly sprayed with QAT sanitiser.

We are asking all customers to pay by credit or debit card to avoid cash handling; our contactless payment limit has been increased to £45.


I have an existing furniture order when will it be delivered?

Many of our suppliers both at home and abroad continue to operate with reduced workforces, coupled with unprecedented demand and component shortages, this regrettably means we are experiencing delays on almost all furniture orders.

We are constantly in contact with our suppliers and will update all customers as soon as we have accurate information regarding your expected delivery date.

I have a problem with my furniture, will the issue still be resolved?

If you are experiencing an issue with your purchase from us please do not hesitate to contact us on [email protected] , if you are able to attach some photographs of the area of concern to help us understand the issue further we would be very grateful.

We will of course do everything we can to resolve any issues reported to us as soon as possible, however,  in some instances we may be somewhat limited with what we are able to achieve under the current circumstances due to a number of our suppliers being closed and key technician networks not operating.

Rest assured any issue we cannot resolve now will be logged and dealt with just as soon as we can.



Can my order still be delivered with the current restrictions?

Smaller items such as Linens and Homewares are able to be delivered as normal to your door.

For larger items and all furniture orders we have the following 4 options:

  • Delivery to your door or somewhere external to the property such as a garage or garden.
  • Collection from our Gatwick warehouse by prior arrangement.
  • Storage of your order until you are ready for delivery.
  • Room of choice delivery with the following measures in place.

With the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff being paramount, room of choice deliveries will not be able to take place if:

  • Anybody in the household is suffering from covid19 symptoms
  • Anybody in the household has been asked to isolate under the government track and trace scheme.

On the day of delivery our team will call ahead to make sure this is not the case.

Prior to delivery please ensure the room is well ventilated with windows open.

Our delivery teams will be wearing masks; and sanitising in-between each delivery.

We will take your furniture to your room of choice, unpack, set up and take away the packaging, whilst this is being done we ask that you vacate the room and maintain strict social distancing.

Can I collect my order from a store?

Collection from our stores will not be possible prior to 2nd December 2020.
